Perhaps the name is more famously recalled for the story of ‘The Hunchback of Notre-Dame’ a novel by Victor Hugo which also saw a Disney adaptation. But the actual Notre-Dame cathedral has an interesting story of its own. It took several centuries to build it and yet more centuries to maintain.
