So in this article, you will be reading some amazing facts about puffer jackets and also here we will be comparing four brands that have puffer jackets and claim that they are the best. Let’s see if they are! Shall we?

The brands that we will be comparing are:

  1. UCB or United Colours of Benetton puffer is a jacket and is the favourite of all
  2. Tommy Hilfiger
  3. Quechua
  4. ZARA

1. UCB or United Colors of Benetton Puffer Jackets

First of all, not many of you will know that Benetton Group has partnered with Greenpeace’s Detox program. In a joint effort, they plan to lead the textile industry toward the complete elimination of hazardous chemicals from manufacturing. This will not only help in their customer’s safety but will also benefit the local communities around the world.

So coming back to their puffer jackets. UCB uses the Polyester blend or Nylon as a fabric for their puffer jackets. But for the lining and filling, pure polyester is used. Most of the puffer jackets that have zippers are not reversible.

The clothing care suggested by UCB is that these jackets should not be dry cleaned and not even ironed. (But why would you iron it?) Also if you are machine washing it, the maximum temperature should be 30°C, not more than that in a gentle cycle. After washing, it should be dried in the shade. The puffer jackets from UCB come in hoods and without hoods. I prefer hooded jackets because I am not a beanie person. You can buy the puffer jackets as per your requirement.

This is definitely a pocket-friendly item and is available online in many solid colours. It is a good item to wear and is also light enough to carry. But when it comes to chilly winters, this might not be a good choice since there is no insulation on the zips.

2. Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger puffer jackets are Ultra Loft which means that they are lightly weighted, breathable, and super warm. The puffer jackets offered by Tommy Hilfiger come in both hood and non-hood ones. It depends on your choice of what to buy and how would you like to wear it.

This one, like UCB puffer jackets, is also not supposed to be ironed. The lining in these jackets is made from 100% Nylon and the filling is 100% polyester. Unlike UCB jackets, puffer jackets from Tommy Hilfiger have insulation on the zips as well. A few of the jackets from Hilfiger are adjustable from the waist. The nylon shell repels water and also the pockets are deep (So it’s easy to put your partner into the pocket if he/she nags you too much).

Tommy jackets are slightly on the higher side when it comes to the price but it is definitely worth the money.

3. Quechua

The one difference between Quechua puffer jackets and other brand jackets is that the filler that is used in Quechua puffer jackets is duck feather which is made to protect the wearer from the cold on mountain hikes. These puffer jackets have even been tested for optimum comfort between -5°C and -10°C. Puffer jackets from Quechua are available in Decathlon stores.

The jackets are super light which means moving around in them is easy and comfortable. The best part is that the jacket comes with a waterproof pouch in which it can be packed and carried away easily.

I highly recommend these jackets if you are travelling to a destination prone to rain. The rain will just bounce off the jacket and you won’t be at all uncomfortable.

4. ZARA

ZARA is a fabulous brand for buying jackets. The investment is more but it’s a one-time investment. You will not be disappointed by the fabric and the warmth they provide. The outer shell is made up of 100% polyester, the lining is made up of 100% polyester, and the filling is also 100% polyester. Clearly, it is a good choice for you to wear in winter and stay happy and happening.

This puffer jacket from Zara is a white jacket with contrasting detailing which makes it subtle and more attractive. It is not too puffy to make you look fat but it’s not less puffy also. It is puffy enough to make you feel warm and stylish at the same time.

Wash care has rules which say that you need to machine wash it at 30°C in gentle care mode. Zara jackets should not be bleached and should not be ironed.
