Sublime Beauty. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one the world's largest mosques and a massive architectural work of art that intentionally blends different Islamic architectural schools. It features 82 domes, more than 1,000 columns, 24-carat-gold gilded chandeliers and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet. constructed between 1994 and 2007 and was inaugurated in December 2007. The building complex measures approximately 290 by 420 m (950 by 1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), excluding exterior landscaping and vehicle parking.

This fascinating centre is home to an extensive collection of museum-like displays featuring unique Islamic art pieces sourced from around the Muslim world, including places like Egypt, Syria, Iran, India, Iraq, Kashmir and Russia. It is the world's first Ferrari-themed park and features Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster. The foundation stone for the park was laid on 3 November 2007.
