We’re going to Ibiza l Spain

Large clubs, celebrity DJs, electronic music, legendary nightlife is what most people know Ibiza for. But there is more to Ibiza than just these. If you want to unwind, rejuvenate and feel fresh on a getaway from an 80 hour work weeks, Ibiza is the place for it.

Here is my list of top 5 things to do in Ibiza. Don’t worry; it does include the experience of nightlife I just mentioned above.

Party Hard in Ibiza

Ibiza has nightclubs based happening nightlife which is mainly centred in Ibiza town and Sant Antoni. The nightlife of the island has undergone several changes since the 1950s when it was first opened to international tourism. Today Ibiza is a hub for celebrity producers and DJs who play in various clubs during summers. The best time to enjoy this riotous and legendary nightlife of Ibiza is between June and October. You will find many bars and clubs offering dance floors overlooking beautiful sunsets. Some of the most famous clubs of Ibiza are Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, Ushuaïa, Sankeys, and Es Paradis. So what are you thinking about? Just put on your party shoes and hit the dance floor.

Walk in Old Town

The best part of being in Ibiza is that it is not too difficult to cut you from the world and enjoy serenity of nature. Take a walk down cobbled streets of the old town of Dalt Vila and you will be lost in the beauty of its traditional architecture. This town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which houses the history of over 2500 years and makes for the perfect Mediterranean holiday. Reach Cathedral of Ibiza and then disappear into the streets for some tasty tapas and local wine.

Hidden Gems of Ibiza

In Ibiza, you will not need to travel far to reach hidden gems with perfect sunsets. Go to northwest Ibiza and you will find unspoiled untraveled rugged terrain. You can reach this part of Ibiza by road and then explore the area on foot or horseback.

Spend a dreamy afternoon in Sant Agustí des Vedrà village with stone buildings. Take a stroll in the village and enjoy delicious local meals.

There are quite a few secret beaches in Ibiza which are a perfect getaway for some quite time amidst clear blue waters. Some of the beaches I like are Es Portixol, Punta de Ses Portes, Saladeta Cala, Cala Moli, and Ses Balandres.

Summer Shopping

Summers would be a best time for shopping in Ibiza, not just complimenting weather, the summer fashion of the island is the one to look out for. It is a mixture of embroidery, fringing (for literally everything), and tribal accessories.

Day Trips to nearby Islands

You can take many day trips to nearby islands from Ibiza which make long stays in the Island well worth it. Just a ferry ride away is a tiny island of Espalmador. Cala Saladeta cove is another must go places from Ibiza, only if you know swimming or rock climbing.

Another island which is just a 40minute ferry ride away from Ibiza is Formentera which is known for its clear, Caribbean-blue waters. The fastest way to reach the island is by a boat as the roads to the island are narrow and can be paved by only bikes.

So when you next visit Ibiza do not just enjoy the legendary nightlife, also look out for more to do in this amazing island to make your Spanish sojourn memorable.
